Assam Agricultural University, 1996

Dr. Puri graduated from Assam Agricultural University in 1996 and spent nearly a decade building his clinical expertise before co-founding Rutherford Road & Hwy 400 Animal Hospital in 2008. He has been practicing in the GTA since 2004 — and brings over twenty years of hands-on experience to every case.

Reproductive medicine is Dr. Puri's primary clinical focus. His work with breeders across the GTA spans the full scope of canine reproduction — from progesterone testing and TCI to surgical AI and C-sections. Breeders travel from across Ontario for his expertise.

Alongside his reproductive work, Dr. Puri manages a broad general medicine caseload and is known for his methodical, calm approach — particularly with complex or high-stakes cases where precision matters most.

Dr. A. Kahlon

Co-Founder · DVM

Punjab Agricultural University, 1996

Dr. Kahlon graduated from Punjab Agricultural University in 1996 and began practicing in the GTA in 2004, co-founding Rutherford Road & Hwy 400 Animal Hospital in 2008 alongside Dr. Puri. In the years since, he has built a loyal client base — one that keeps coming back based entirely on results and trust.

Dr. Kahlon's practice covers a wide range of procedures — from routine wellness and dentistry to soft-tissue surgeries and abdominal cases. His attention to detail, clean technique, and thorough aftercare guidance have earned him a loyal following across York Region.

Outside the OR, Dr. Kahlon is the kind of vet clients describe as genuinely invested — someone who remembers your pet, follows up after procedures, and treats every animal like it's the only one in the room.
